Reproducing Scattering Matrix of Black Carbon: A Comparison of the Overlapping and Necking Models

In this study, the overlapping model and the necking model are used to describe BC morphology. The scattering matrix of BC was then computed based on these two models and compared with existing experimental measurements. Our findings show that the overlapping model more accurately reproduces the measured scattering matrix, whereas the necking model performs significantly less well.
